Humor Illustration Poster in China

This piece was designed as an exhibition poster in order to commemorate the completion of the Art Building at the Shanghai Institute of Technology and the Celebration of the 48th Anniversary of Academy of Arts & Design of Tsinghua University, Beijing.

Born in Nagaoka City, Japan in 1952, Takashi Akiyami received his BA from Tama Art University and his MA from the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. He is currently a professor at Tama Art University and has received numerous awards for his work including:

An Honourary Doctor of Philosophy in Art;
The Gold Prize at the Warsaw International Poster Biennial;
An Honourary Mention at the International Biennial of the Poster in Mexico;
The Silver Prize at the New York Festival.
